Voodoo Yeti: Blood Moon is our annual collaboration with our good friend Chris “The Lather Yeti” Smith of Abominable Creations, a dark, complex fragrance that brings together Chris’s unmistakable character with The Cajun Blade’s Louisiana roots.

The Legend of the Voodoo Yeti: Blood Moon

When the moon turns blood, the swamp rots alive. The trees lean inward like gallows, their moss dripping black. The water clots thick as old blood, and the air reeks of rust and grave-earth. Nothing stirs. Not frog, not owl, not man. The bayou itself recoils, waiting for what comes.

They whisper it has no name — only the curse. A form of smoke and sinew that never belonged to this world. The Voodoo Yeti. Born from rites older than the bones buried in churchyards, carried on storms that split the heavens, and bound to this mire of decay. It is not beast, not spirit. It is hunger wearing a shape.

On one such night, The Cajun Blade went seeking it. His steel sharp, his faith thin, his veins loud with fear. He found it by the red water. Eyes burning like furnaces sunk in skull-ash. A mouth that did not move but breathed rot so foul it scalded the lungs. The smoke that curled from its frame did not rise — it crawled, clawing the soil, dragging cold into marrow.

The swamp bent with its steps. Earth liquefied. Frogs burst in silence. Birds plummeted, lifeless. Even the gators slid under, as if the water itself begged to hide them.

The Cajun Blade raised his razor, and the swamp laughed without a voice. Steel could not touch what was not flesh. The Voodoo Yeti’s form split and swam through the mist — half thunder, half tomb, dripping with scents of burnt leather, storm-ozone, spoiled amber, and freshly opened graves. It drew him closer, not with sound, but with a pull deep in the chest, like strings wound around a beating heart.

Some say he never returned. What walks now carries his face, but hollow, carved with black lines of smoke. His blade, they say, whispers with every cut, a voice that is not his own.

And when the Blood Moon rises again, the swamp will open like a wound. The smoke will thicken. The ground will breathe.

And the Voodoo Yeti will not be hunting — it will be feeding.

Handcrafted in Louisiana using our Yeti - Brangus Base, Blood Moon produces a dense, protective lather with excellent cushion, glide, and post-shave feel.
