The Cajun Blade Store

At The Cajun Blade Store, this business was built from a simple idea, create the kind of shaving products I personally wanted to use every day.

Founded in Southwest Louisiana in 2024 through my eBay store, The Cajun Blade Store grew from my passion for traditional wetshaving, straight razors, honing, and handcrafted shaving products built without shortcuts. What started as a personal hobby quickly became a family-run business rooted in craftsmanship, community, and respect for traditional shaving.

In 2026, we transitioned from Etsy to our own website to continue growing the brand while staying true to the values that built it in the first place.

I proudly use hand-processed Louisiana grass-fed beef tallow, sustainably sourced animal fats, organic oils, and unrefined butters because I believe traditional ingredients still produce the best shave performance possible. My formulas are intentionally tallow-heavy, designed to create dense lather, elite slickness, lasting cushion, and the kind of post-shave feel traditional wetshavers remember.

The outdoors heavily influence who I am and what I create. Hunting, fishing, bayous, timber, bourbon, leather, smoke, coastal air, and Southern heritage all find their way into the scents and stories behind these products.

This business also would not exist without my family. While I am away at work, my wife and daughters help keep everything moving and support this business tremendously behind the scenes. From packing orders to helping manage the day-to-day workload, this has truly become a family effort.

But more importantly, this community matters to me.

I am an active member of the wetshaving community myself. I support fellow artisans, stay involved with hobbyists and customers daily, attend meetups, and continue learning alongside the people who use my products. I believe the wetshaving community grows stronger when artisans support one another and help bring new people into the hobby.

Collaboration is also a major part of this business. I do not limit collaborations to content creators or large names within the hobby. Some of my favorite projects have come directly from everyday members of the wetshaving community because I believe great ideas can come from anywhere.

For me, collaboration is about growth. It pushes me out of my comfort zone, challenges me creatively, and keeps me learning instead of becoming stagnant. I never want this company to become something that simply repeats the same safe ideas over and over. Every project is an opportunity to improve, experiment, and create something with a real story behind it.

That mindset also shapes the way I approach fragrance creation.

I take pride in building original custom fragrances and unique scent stories that stand apart from the crowd. There is nothing wrong with fragrance dupes, and there are some great ones out there, but everyone already does dupes. I have no desire to be like everyone else.

I want my scents to feel personal, memorable, atmospheric, and different. Some are dark and rugged. Some are clean and aquatic. Some are inspired by swamps, bourbon, campfires, oceans, leather shops, cold mornings, old wood, fishing trips, or memories that are difficult to explain but easy to recognize once you smell them.

I do not believe in rigid rules or boundaries when creating fragrances. If an idea inspires me, I chase it.

Customer service is personal here. When you reach out, you are speaking directly with the person making, testing, packing, and shipping your products. I believe in honesty, standing behind my work, and treating customers the same way I would want to be treated myself.

Whether you are a lifelong straight razor shaver or just picking up your first safety razor, I want you to feel welcome here.

Because to me, traditional wetshaving is more than a routine — it is craftsmanship, tradition, community, and pride in doing things the right way.

Traditional craftsmanship. Honest ingredients. Louisiana roots.
