Contraband Bay Rum - 5oz Shave Soap

Contraband Bay Rum A Bay Rum shave soap inspired by Jean Lafitte and the Barataria pirates operating out of the bayous south of New Orleans.

The scent is built around the traditional spices associated with classic bay rum, without modern smoothing or reinterpretation. The shave soap is made in our F1 Braford Tallow Base, a dense, tallow-forward formula designed for cushion, slickness, and a traditional, heavy lather. The scent opens with bay leaf, black peppercorn, and star anise. The heart centers on clove and allspice, supported by cypress wood resin. The base settles into white rum, oud, earth, amber, and aged woods. Contraband Bay Rum is a traditional bay rum, spice-forward, woody and intentionally old-school. It is not a modern barbershop scent and not softened for mass appeal.

The formula was engineered to load quickly off the tub and build lather easily without sacrificing density, residual slickness, or protection.

A balanced blend of tallow, butters, aloe vera, coconut milk, castor oil, and post-cook conditioning additions work together to create a stable, highly hydrated lather with smooth razor glide and a clean, comfortable post-shave feel.
