The Prairie Select HD Badger is a 26mm high-density, three-band badger knot selected specifically for its outstanding balance of quality, performance, and value.

Its flared fan shape provides excellent splay and lather flow, while the dense construction delivers strong, dependable backbone without sacrificing comfort. The treated tips become exceptionally soft when wet, creating a plush face feel while retaining enough scrub and strength to load and work even the hardest shaving soaps with ease.

This knot offers easy break-in, less initial funk, excellent flow-through, and the natural face feel that makes badger hair a favorite among traditional wet shavers. For the best balance of backbone, splay, and softness, we recommend setting it at a 50–52mm loft, with 51mm as our preferred setting.
